I am a partner of Capstan’s Lille office, which I joined in 2004 after obtaining a Diploma of Higher Specialised Studies (DESS- Diplôme d’études supérieures spécialisées) in social protection law.
Romain’s career path
I assist our clients, including many companies in the retail and banking sectors, in the management of their HR policies and issues / social affairs, and represent them in all litigation procedures related to social matters.
I also manage, on behalf of our clients, the exceptional restructuring operations that they are compelled to implement, from the presentation of possible solutions and their possible cost, to the operational implementation of the social consequences of these reorganisations, if necessary by participating directly in the negotiations with employee representatives.
I have been particularly keen to maintain and develop my specific expertise in social protection law, advising and defending our clients on all matters relating to this fascinating subject (setting up, auditing and modifying social protection or employee savings schemes, managing procedures for the recognition of occupational accidents and illnesses, assistance in the context of URSSAF inspections and management of actions in recognition of employers’ gross negligence, etc).
I also use this expertise for the benefit of legal doctrine, having written numerous articles or participated in the co-writing of books on social protection law or, more generally, on employment law, and for the benefit of students in the various university courses in which I have the pleasure of speaking.
